A figure of a free spirited half bird, half woman ready to take off, can resurface variety of memories and feelings & I wonder what that be for you. 
 
For me, it has two stories. 
The first story started back in 2015, in memory of my grandmother. She loved birds, she was a bright sun and she passed away without me getting the chance to say goodbye. I carved the lino, printed few artist proofs and even exhibited it in a group exhibition but then it was left aside until a few weeks ago when I learnt about a group exhibition for International Woman's Day with the theme of Woman, Life, Freedom. Finally it seemed like the right time to print this work in applause to the brave women (and men) in Iran who their strength is shining the light on the paths of freedom.
