Rockhampton Museum of Art
30 November 2024 - 23 February 2025

My father, my son and I, during the paper flower vase activity.
I’m thrilled to share my involvement in creating a visitor activity space as part of the KNOW MY NAME travelling exhibition at the Rockhampton Museum of Art (RMOA).
This exhibition is dedicated to advancing gender equality in the art world. As part of this commitment, RMOA has thoughtfully invited three local female artists, including myself, Emma Award, and Chelsea Morrigan, to contribute creative activities for visitors to enjoy.
Reflecting on my art practice as a printmaker and my passion for creating repeating patterns, and combining it with my digital design skills, I developed a colouring-in pattern inspired by the Tree of Life—a theme deeply rooted in many ancient cultures and often symbolized as a pomegranate tree in Persian history. Additionally, I have created a paper vase activity for visitors to take home.
A heartfelt thank you to RMOA’s Audience Engagement and Learning Team for their support throughout this process.
This project is proudly supported by RMOA in partnership with Haymans Electrical.
